New Unreal Tournament In The Works, Will It See A Native Linux Version?

So, the details are here. The game will be developed with help of the community (GitHub) from scratch for Windows, Mac and Linux. The game will be free, but it wont be free 2 play, which means no microtransactions, but maybe a market in the future. Very interesting, however, it might take several years before the game will be finally released.

Very interesting indeed. I'll be having a server up right next to my UT1, UT2 and UT3 servers

And although I'm happy about the supposed Linux support, my current rig, once again, can't handle the newest Unreal-Engine.

Great, bring it on. Fresh meat for my GTX770, i7 etc. X-Plane flying machine.
They also say several months, not years to build.

Hopefully it will feature 3D, so I can play it on my brandnew 4K, 3D SmartTV.
Not yet connected to my PC, any ideas, help for that?

I can't get sound working on 64-bit Linux with UT2004.
And the next version after that (I forget the year), well, I bought a copy when they said a Linux installer would follow, but it never did. I gave that copy away eventually, unopened. After being conned once, I will be more cautious next time.

I would also like to see an updated Unreal, more than UT.

YEAH.. I got conned too. Unreal and UT and 2004 all ran and I assumed the new one would be on Linux. Of course it would, then I got it and found out they were not going to do it.
I may buy a new one if it is working on Linux but not until then.
