I'm trying to download 14.04 32 bit however each time it gets to 771Gb, it stops and a "failed" message appears. Is there anything I can do or should I order the CD/DVD? I want to install on a laptop. Thanks.

Perhaps wget might be more robust than a browser download:
or a torrent even, copy this and paste into Transmission:Code:wget http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04/ubuntu-14.04-desktop-i386.iso
Lots of choices .Code:http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04/ubuntu-14.04-desktop-i386.iso.torrent

You think that's air you're breathing now?
Thanks but wget is terribly slow for me (will take over 4 hours to download) and I don't understand how to use the torrent. Better order the CD/DVD.

Certainly buying is an option, I see from your profile you are from Australia and you can order a DVD for $3:

Good to see a fellow Australian btw

When I used the link in andrew.46 post in Firefox I was prompted to open it in transmission which started the download using torrent automatically
