    Unity Panel.

    Hi all,

I have a fairly simple question, with a fairly simple answer I hope. My question/problem is this. All my indicators show on the panel except, Pidgin. When I run that along with Skype which does show, just not Pidgin it's self. The next indicator not to show and this is important for me is Yarssr. Does anyone know what's going on?

I done a direct upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04 and I have to say, except for this issue. The upgrade was flawless.

    Well done Ubuntu for that.

    Cheers all.

Pidgin is built in to the ubuntu messaging thing so my guess is that it's hiding out there instead of appearing as it normally would. Depending on your icon theme it might look like an envelope or something similar on the upper right corner by your clock. That might be the case of some of the other programs you mention as well. Sometimes they get hijacked by the ubuntu interface in an attempt to integrate everything better.

Yarssr uses the old gnome2 notifications and don't think it will show in unity.
Will show in the gnome flashback session though in the gnome panel.

Also use skype-wrapper to integrate Skype into your messaging menu.
