Linux Deepin's 2014 new DDE desktop.. What are your thoughts?

What do you guys think about the upcoming deepin 2014? It's based on 14.04 and the deepin guys have ditched Gnome Shell and produced their own desktop called DDE which is based on HTML5.

What do you guys think?

I hope we'll soon be able to install this on our Ubuntu's like we can with cinnamon, kde etc

Looks awesome! I am amazed at what they are doing with the desktop! elementary, Mint, Ubuntu and now these guys are coming up with outstanding ideas!

I especially love the slide out control panel, i've not seen anything like that on any other distro and the way they have integrated the system tray into an icon on the dock.

Fascinating. Hopefully it will be portable to other distros, unlike most of these new boutiqe DEs that have been cropping up.

Yeah it would be really interesting if you could install it as a session in ubuntu like one can install Cinnamon or Mate for examples...
Especially since Deepin is ubuntu based to begin with...i imagine it wouldn't be that difficult for them to make that available...unless they will want to keep it to themselves

I really like it. I'm downloading the live iso now to give it a whirl in VirtualBox.
