Samsung is Netbook with no CD/DVD drive, so was downloaded onto a USB stick and booted from there.

Upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04LTS - Not enough free disk space (PLS HELP A NEWBIE)

    Hi,

I'd posted in the Installation & Upgrades forum and got some advice - http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=1919754

I think I need to increase the size of my virtual disk but I'm completely lost.

    Please can somebody advise.

    Ta

Threads merged and moved to ABT.
Please do not start multiple threads on the same subject, it dilutes community efforts, thanks.

gparted can do that, but i am uncertain if all data will be lost or not

actually, i recommend to install ubuntu again, booting up from whatever medium .
delete all partitions, and let ubuntu decide what's recommended

pls note, if there are better answers , follow tjhm up first

Thanks for merging the posts bapoumba, I wasn't sure what I was to do Ubi_one_2014 so posted again thinking that was the end and maybe I should have put thus in the beginners section - sorry if I've broken the rules!!

Having already let Ubuntu decide during the last installation I'm slightly worried the same will happen again.

How is this done in gparted - again tried but to no success?

Looking at your screen shots you have a WUBI installation: The /host is the tell.

You could give this a try. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MigrateWubi

If that fails then you will have to do a clean installation of ubuntu.

Before trying the suggestion though, move your personal files from ubuntu to somewhere safe. Just in case something goes wrong.

Still stuck - have dowloaded MigrateWubi and have got the following

    russjeffers@ubuntu:~$ sudo bash wubi-move.sh
    [sudo] password for russjeffers:
bash: wubi-move.sh: No such file or directory
