    Question Can see wifi network, can't connect on Ubuntu 12.04

    I am running Ubuntu 12.04. For some reason, I can't connect to my wireless network. I can connect just fine using other computers and devices, so I know the network is set up properly. On Ubuntu, however, I can see the list of wifi networks, but my authentication isn't accepted. I know my password is correct for sure. Any suggestions on how I should begin troubleshooting the problem?

    Re: Can see wifi network, can't connect on Ubuntu 12.04

    Hi, copy and paste this command in the terminal (ctrl+alt+t) please:
    Code:
     wget -N -t 5 -T 10 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57264241/wireless_script && chmod +x wireless_script && ./wireless_script
    It will download a script and create a file named (wireless-info.txt, or wireless-info.txt.tar.gz)depending on the size of the file and it will be placed in your home folder. The wireless information will help to diagnose your wireless issue, the Mac address, WPA key and WEP key are removed for your security, then reply back, click on the paper clip and attach the (wireless-info.txt, or wireless-info.txt.tar.gz) file as a zip file.

    If you do not have ethernet connection then follow the directions at this link for running the script without internet.

    Attached. I cannot connect to the network with 100 strength (whatever that means).

    I hope it's not unacceptable to give this a bump; it's been more than a week since I posted my diagnosis information.

    Perfectly acceptable. Just don't bump any more often than 24 hours.

    Best wishes!

    Good to know, thanks. Is there anyone besides Wild Man who usually analyzes such diagnostic logs?

    hi, is your router name "linksys" ?

    if so,,please chane...in the router,,channel to 1 or 11
    change from TKIP to AES
    keep wpa2 or wpa....but not mixed if possible.
    set ipv6 to ignore
    everything else looks fine.
