    Desktop Clock

Am I right in thinking that as lubuntu is a lightweight version of ubuntu - specifically the desktop - one cannot have a desktop clock? I'm converting a friend from win7 to ubuntu but I'm not sure of the power of their pc so it might have to be lubuntu. At the moment on their win7 desktop there are three clocks that show the times in different parts of the world; for family members. Widgets of some sort. I am not familiar with lubuntu but I'm thinking one cannot have the same sort of clock/widget on the desktop. I assume you can do this with ubuntu.

Something like this (http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtop...207414#p207414) should be doable.

Sure you can. You just need to install screenlets:

    Code:
     sudo apt-get install screenlets screenlets-pack-all
There's a world clock widget that I believe will work.
