    WG311v3 wireless card

    Hello!

Have just installed Ubuntu 14.04 on a 64 bit tower, but my wireless icon is not showing on the screen. Opened TERMINAL
and ran "lspci | grep Marvell" with the following line returned:

Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88w8335 [Libertas] 802.11b/g Wireless (rev 03)

After searching the ubuntuforum regarding this matter I have seen that this has been a problem for a number of folks. What
I need is a detailed step-by-step guide for getting this adapter up and running. I am new to Ubuntu. Help!

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Ubuntu Forums

I am no expert concerning wifi, so I suggest that you start reading a sticky thread in the networking forum, and let us hope that someone with experience of your wireless chip can help you with more tips.

    Sticky:
Supported wireless cards list and procedure to get help.

See also this link about linux compatibility (is your wireless chip found there?)
