    Getting files off of Ubuntu One

    when will we here something about how to get our files off of U1? I used Déjà Dup Backup Tool to backup three pc's I would like to be able to keep my backups. their is no simple download function on U1 to do this...

    You could just login to the web portal and download your files. or you could use u1ftp to access your files if you have a lot you want to grab all at once. In other words, you can get your files from One the same way you always could, what are you waiting for?

    Download the u1ftp package. Run "python u1ftp.zip". Then you can use any FTP client to connect to your local machine. The u1ftp osftware creates a tunnel to your files on the One servers, seamlessly linking your FTP client to your remote account.

    You could also use mover.io to transfer all your files directly from ubuntu one to dropbox or any other cloud storage service. I used it recently to transfer files from OneDrive and Ubuntu One to Dropbox and it worked great.
