*Edit* "...doing a fresh install of Trusty Tahr"

I did a fresh install on my "test" Linux Laptop (previously had 13.10 on it), and it went just like most other Ubuntu based installs - easy.
The only issue I've had so far was that Remmina crashed when I initially tried RDPing into my work Windows PC. I restarted the RDP session, and it's worked fine ever since.
So it seems like another good LTS release and I've enjoyed the added speed of 14.04.

    Cheers

Upgraded during the alpha cycle, no issue here. lubuntu on a lower end intel video laptop, no breakage. An issue with synaptic menus that others were having too, later fixed on with an update.

    Smooth journey

Re: Share with us your Trusty (14.04) Upgrade & Installation Experiences

I built a new system yesterday, so a fresh install for me was a natural. After having a problem with the first iso I downloaded, the second one installed flawlessly. The only other problem I ran into, was finding a driver for my video card, an Asus GeForce GTX750, there isn't a driver in the repositories for it yet, so I had to use the edgers xorg ppa for the nvidia-337 driver.

There are things I really love about Trusty - #1 has to be the improvements in grub, but I also hate some of the gnome/gtk 3.10 changes

I'd have preferred we stay with gnome 3.8 for a base, but I suspect the rough edges will be smoothed out by 14.04.1

Re: Share with us your Trusty (14.04) Upgrade & Installation Experiences

I've been playing with Trusty since October 18th, of last year, and always with the last kernel release candidate (presently I'm running Trusty with kernel 3.15.0-031500rc1-generic) and I haven't felt any singular itch one single time, quite the opposite.
