Moving from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 14.04 LTS with Mac-like theme.

Jumping in the middle of this thread- I have my 12.04 LTS set up to look more like Mac with their style buttons, etc. I also have yellow folders because the orange is a hideous color. Will I be able to keep this look or will I be defaulted to the out of box theme when I upgrade?

I can't address the icons because I don't know what theme is in use . Gnome 3.4 themes from 12.04 won't be compatible with 14.04 unless the theme in use has been updated for use with Gnome 3.10, but again you haven't stated what theme is in use.

I took the plunge on a back-up computer and the settings stayed, but now that computer is glitchy as all hell. I will just wait for the next update to 14.04 (for stability) and try with a clean install. I use my main computer for work so it has to work perfectly and 12.04 does that.
