missing new empty file right click option in file manager

    It used to be there.
I kept hoping it would re-appear.

It makes it harder to open gedit and paste in data. what used to be so easy, is now much harder.

    More steps.
Have to open gedit from main menu
    paste
then search select a location to save the file hopefully in the right spot.

Where as before, just right click in file manager, create new empty file, click to open with gedit, paste, then save

If you're running Ubuntu (unity) then it should be there, "New Document > Empty Document"
If on Gnome then possibly you'll need to create a text file template in ~/Templates

Thanks to me that is strange.
It works in ubuntu desktop but not in gnome till you simply create an empty file in templates folder
