It will release when it is released - we've not marked our images as ready yet - and won't be doing so for some time.
Timezones ... so it'll be the 17th in San Francisco long after it's the 18th here.

I recall that for the 13.10 release, the download of the RTM (not a beta) release was available on an FTP mirror about 2-3 hours before it was announced on Ubuntu.com. I've been scouring the web for the link over the past couple of hours to look for an FTP that's got the download, but if the images haven't been marked as ready yet then I guess I should start checking after lunch (GMT+4 here).
Was there no countdown page for this release?
...now i think about it, when was one last used.
I may be getting a little senile
The last official one I have no idea, but there are always community efforts - http://luisaravelli.net/countdown/

I'll be using the local University's mirror. Blazingly fast. Suggest that others do the same with their local university.
If we all try to download the new release within an hour the server will probably overload. Patience is a good thing.

Don't use this space for a list of your hardware. It only creates false hits in the search engines.
People are still talking about respins. If you want to download from somewhere that isn't official - be my guest. When it's released it's released. Really is quite boring to have people ask the same thing every 6 months - a search will likely get you many many many threads and posts saying
it will be released when it's released
