    booting up

    When i switch on my computer i am given two choices windows or ubuntu if i choose ubuntu it loads up ok but i cannot find where to connect to network ie WiFi the top right hand of the ubuntu desktop has the buttons but they will not respond
    Can you help?

    You could go the long route through System Settings -> Network. Can you do a lspci and attach the output so we can see what type of wireless card you have?

    What version of Ubuntu and did you use Wubi to install ?
