I'm going to try to get it configured so it suits me.

But I like the output from Lightbeam a lot better than without Ghostery.
Glad you gave it another shot...

Ghostery has always been (sort of) a kludge to use, but it's getting better all the time. I stuck with it, and now I couldn't live without it.

Adblock... I could give or take. Only reason I use Adblock is to get rid of those #$%! YouTube ads on Plug.dj LeL

    EDIT

BTW, I might mention: Adblock+ doesn't do jack on YT ads. I think it actually sucks in more ads. Adblock (no +, different company) works a treat.

I've found that Privoxy is very good solution and can be nicely accompanied with Disconnect...
Far better that any AdBlock or Ghostery...

All I see in addons is AdBlock plus or Adblock edge which is derived from AdBlock plus. Plain AdBlock doesn't show up. I even googled it.
Something just blocked a video I wanted to watch. I copied the link and pasted it into Chromium and it was just a YouTube video.
On Chromium I had Ghostery disabled and Disconnect enabled. It's hard figuring out what to allow in Ghostery for sure.
I dislike having to use one of three browsers just to see a video or whatever.

Nevermind I found AdBlock Simple. Just had to click on show the 97 other possibilities.

I finally managed to get those videos on that news site not to autoplay and I have control over the video
Lots of trial and error but I nailed that one and I'm documenting the ones I allowed.

One day at a time I guess.

Might save ppl some searching: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...namgkkbiglidom (15,000,000+ users)

    EDIT

BTW, here are the custom filters that I manually enter into AdBlock -- the ones that get rid of YT ads...
