Bluetooth : device added successfully, but failed to connect

I'm not sure if this is the right section.

I have a bluetooth headset that is failing to connect. blueman-applet can find it but when I try to do the setup wizard, it responds with the error "device added successfully, but failed to connect" Needless to say neither the earphones nor the microphone connect. I've tried connecting to "headset service", "A2DP Sink (send audio)" and "Input service" all provide the same error.

Pulse Audio Volume Control cannot find the device. Though it can find USB devices. Other bluetooth devices, such as a mouse, work fine.

Does Ubuntu even support bluetooth headsets?

Re: Bluetooth : device added successfully, but failed to connect

I was able to use bluetooth about 4 months ago, but a update broke it in the bluez libs. Futzing with it again now that I have trusty loaded. Lets hope someone out there has figured it out. I'll futz some more later this week. It' my work box, so my time on this is very limited.
