Unstabel Video playback on both VLC and Mplayer | 14.04 Beta2

Hi,

I cant watch any videos with both vlc and mplayer2. I tried using mplayer2 from the command line but same thing.

The nature of the problem is identical. Both VLC and mplayer2 is actcing the same way.

Problem solved !

Installed lubuntu-desktop. I guess my system is not capable of handling Unity.

Is it possible to safe remove the ubuntu-desktop and all its dependencies without breaking things ?

That is not [SOLVED], that is sidestepping the issue Here i was hoping to find a solution, although mine only crashes on .MP4 files now.
