after update - apps requiring rooot permissions not working

Hi All,

Has anyone else expereinced issues with 14.04 after updates this morning? Since updating, I can no longer run applications requiring root (for example, synaptic, shutdown, pulseaudio,update, etc) from the desktop (Unity).

I am still able to sudo from CLI but this is kind of annoying

EDIT: People are reporting lot's of issues (for example see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2214915 or http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2211608) which seem to be related. SO yeah, there seems to be an issue. Let's hold tight and hope an update comes soon.

UPDATE: It seems the fix is being pushed out now. everything is back to normal now
