    Mint 16

Hey guys, gordie692 back again and I'm a Ubuntu user but I have a second desktop. It's only a amd dual core 4 gig of ram but I'm running Mint 16 64 bit and was wondering how secure. I know it's linux, but you hear stuff on the internet about offer distros. I mostly download but was thinking on a second backup in case my good desktop running Ubuntu crashes. Are safe both safe due to Mint uses same repostories.

Only that a wall of text is hard to read. I've added a few periods and capital letters.

That is better. Still hard to read. I think he is asking which is more secure, Ubuntu or Mint. I'd say there is little difference. I use Ubuntu based Mint. (not the debian edition) Just keep them both up to date on their patches.
