Dual Boot Windows 8 with Ubuntu

Basically, I'm trying to set up dual boot, I currently am running windows 8, I partitioned 100GB of my C drive for ubuntu to go on, I had to disable windows 8 on my bios in order to get to ubuntu on boot. I go onto ubuntu and installed it, it all worked, but when i rebooted it to use it normally, it wouldn't boot to it...
When I ran the Ubuntu test thing off the disc again it found the Ubuntu and asked if I wanted to run a new ubuntu alongside it. I really need help here please and I'm completely new to Linux so be gentle please:3
