Can't that break the system?
I have only tried it once from 13.04 to 13.10 while 13.10 was under development.
The next thing I knew, I had to download the 13.10 ISO for fresh installation !

You've got backport repos for Natty Narwhal enabled - disable them - they were EOL October 2012.

I appreciate the advice. Can you tell me how to remove or disable the repos?

Then when I upgrade to 14.04 will I need to download, create an iso image,etc or will the update manager do that for me?
