    Banshee cannot get CD metadata.

I have been using Banshee for some time. I bought a new CD and Banshee can not read it. I am using the latest Banshee (use Banshee PPA). I insert other CDs and the metadata is read.

I then took teh CD in question and Windows Media Player on my Windows 7 partition and WMP got the metadata no problem.

I tried Sound Juicer as well with no success either.

From reading it looks like pretty much all Linux apps use Muscibrainz exclusively. Can I assume that Musicbrainz does not have the metadata for my particular CD?

The CD in question is as follows:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The CD has been out since 2005 so it's not exactly brand new.

    Thanks.

    No one has any idea?

The condition only happens on a few CDs.

    Thanks.

Musicbrainz is usually pretty complete and well maintained compared to most other databases. It would be great if you could add any missing albums you have to it. If banshee does not let you upload the metadata you can use http://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Picard , then banshee should be able to pick it up (I have had a few CDs that I have had to do this for).

I've had quite a few CD's come up 'blank' when meta data is involved. What I have to do is manually input the data as thoroughly as I can, then submit it for further use. The next time I play that CD, or play a track ripped form that CD, the info appears as it was submitted.
Why buy a 3D TV when all you need to do is step outside?
