I totally agree but we need to write down something so people can compare with Windows and Mac machines. We could say "Very low brightness" which would means that it's still usable for browsing and editing documents in a low light environment.

Even on Windows battery life announced by manufaturers are usually optimistic BUT it's a start for consumers to compare. Without this info, one would never buy a laptop if battery life is important for him.
