Downloaded the latest version of UT (full game zip file).
Unzipped the file and ran the game in wine.
Some how it is unable to download the list of servers for online gaming.
I tried switching off the firewall to check if there was any problem but it didnt solve the problem.
What can be going wrong ?

Why are you running the game via wine? It has native linux client which is in .zip file.

Which one is the Linux client ?
Anyway which ever way I try it always gets stuck at geting the server list.

Quake3-UrT.i386 - executable for x32 system
Quake3-UrT.x86_64 - executable for x64 system

did you register your name? i think game need some user registration.

I have played that game earlier on Ubuntu but I never had to register.

Since 4.1 or 4.2 registration is required, it takes a moment so no worries, it is painless process.

I did the registeration sucessfully.
But now face a different problem.
When I switch off the firewall UT can access the list of servers else it can not.
Which protocol / port do I need to open ?
Or is there any other way round ?
