    Nautilus not remaining same size!

Every time I open a nautilus window in Ubuntu 14.04 the nautilus window seems to shrink in size it's not remembering it's size setting. Is this a bug or have I changed something? I can't think of anything I changed! 1st pic is original window size and second pic is window size after opening and closing nautilus 10 - 15 times each time gradually getting smaller.

As some one who has not been running Ubuntu for sometime now, and now I am, I'm looking very closely at reports such as this.

I'm in agreement with ON3, successive opening of a Nautilus window produces new windows of different sizes. I'm also seeing that they're being placed in different positions.

Is there a launchpad Bug report I can add some input to?

Been going on for a while now, affects any window that remembers it's last size & several other windows like gnome-screenshot & some indicators

It's well known, should be fixed by next week or sooner

Funny, for me Nautilus always opens maximized, no matter what size it was when I closed it. Also, in Gnome Shell, clicking on the icon in the launcher won't bring it back up when it's minimized. Weird...

    Not happening here.

Closing a window and then opening a window doesn't show that behavior. (Wouldn't expect it; it's a new window.)

Not happening when I repeatedly minimize and re-open a Nautilus window. Always the same size.

Yeah I also get this, it often opens partially off-screen too.

that was fixed about a week ago (a day or two after i added my last comment)...you shouldn't still be getting that...assuming you have done all the updates...i think it may have gotten fixed during a partial upgrade, in fact...i know everyone here says don't do those but i let it do it and it always seems to work fine and sometimes things get fixed in those that wouldn't if you hold it back...at least that has been my observation...
