    Headphone Detection Fail

    Hello,
    I installed Xubuntu on an Asus EeePc and kept my Windows 7. My headphone entrance used to work just fine, but suddenly it stopped detecting my headphones. Plugged in, the speakers stop sounding but I can hear nothing on the headphones. The entrance works fine on Windows 7 , as do the speakers on both OS's.

    Have you tried the sound/audio troubleshooting guides here?
    Good site to search for guides & how-tos.
