I don't see a bug with that specific issue. I did find a couple feature requests via github.
And here's his launchpad PPA. https://launchpad.net/~gottcode/+archive/gcppa
Here's the official website http://gottcode.org/xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin/
I did searching of known bugs and couldn't find anything related to that specifically. I would hope one of these sites would have a bug listed, if not I'm sure one of these sites will provide a avenue to do that.
It almost looks like it's pulling the wrong size icon from the default set. I'd be interested if this a xfce issue or a whisker-menu issue.

[19:07] <ochosi> well, i have no idea what the default setting is right now
[19:07] <ochosi> you can show me a screenshot, then i can tell you
[19:07] <ochosi> the size we'll be using in xubuntu is "smaller"
[19:07] <ochosi> (aka 24px)

[19:10] <ochosi> as soon as xubuntu-artwork has been uploaded, this will be fixed
[19:11] <elfy> cool - I shall pass that on
[19:11] <elfy> thanks ochosi
[19:11] <ochosi> no problem
[19:12] <ochosi> and feel free to set whiskermenu to use the "smaller" appicons
[19:12] <ochosi> in the properties
[19:12] <ochosi> as that'll be our default
[19:12] <elfy> was pqwoerituytrueiwoq on the forum asking that
[19:13] <elfy> my default is smaller already for the menu here
[19:13] <ochosi> ok
Firefox and Abiword are a little smaller than they should be
