Dropbox icon disappeared from taskbar

I'm running Xubuntu 13.10

Something has caused Dropbox to stop working and the icon has disappeared from the taskbar. I want me to log in but nothing happens.

How do I solve this problem?

Try this .. go to Applications > Internet > Dropbox .. and drag Dropbox to top bar to make a launcher.

I did that, but I keep getting a login box to authenticate again. Do I have to reinstall Dropbox to fix this? Its been working fine for months.

I've installed and reinstalled Dropbox. it does not work anymore, how do I get it working again? Do I delete the folder and reinstall the program? I've never seen it do this before.

did a complete removal and reinstall. Dropbox is working again.
