sbackup wont restore can I reteive data using tar

    Hi
I am running Mint-Mate-Petra and have selected encrypted option when it was installed
I have my system backed up and I cant restore it. Is anybody still using this progrramme?
I have researched the problem and it appears that it is no longer supported.
Is it possible to extract the data using tar?
Attached are shots of the full and incremental files and thre are 50+ incrementls
    Many thanks

According to the web site of Simple Backup, it was updated in February this year, so it is still supported

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/sbackup/

I used it several years ago, and it worked for me. Now I use rsync from the command line, Unison and Clonezilla (for different kinds of backup), but I have seen Simple Backup recommended during this year here at the Ubuntu Forums, so I think it works. I suggest that you try again, and let us hope someone, who uses it now, can help you.
