    Network connections are missing

In system settings there is no network connections tab to manage vpn. I am using kde and ubuntu 13.10
I think it is applet to install but i couldn't find the name of applet. I don't know how to handle this.

    what vpn?
There should be a VPN tab when you click on the network manager icon in the top bar.

Some vpns like openvpn will require you to install extra packages.
For openvpn, you will need the following packages: openvpn, network-manager-openvpn, network-manager-openvpn-gnome

i need to configure pptp, the installed packages are network-manager-gnome, ppp, pppconfig, network-manager-pptp, network-manager-pptp-gnome, pptp-linux. It is missing network connections tab, so i can't manage wired and wireless connections eighter.
