First Cup of Ubuntu
I installed the deb version of avast in my 12.04 ubuntu. I need to register it still. When I go to dash home and click on the blue avast icon, dash home just closes and no avast opens. What is the problem? I do not see any error message, either. I have not yet opened avast once since downloading and installing.

May I ask where did you get this "avast" deb version - I can't seem to find it on the avast site is it supported officially? If not then don't use it you don't really need an anti-virus software for Ubuntu....
