    Laptop Recommendations

Looking for any recommendations for a Laptop. Must run Ubuntu:

    i7 core pref
    8+ GB RAM
    1TB+ HDD
Intel GPU would be fine (not hybrid though)
    Doesn't need any OS pre-installed
If EFI: Known to be friendly/OK

    Do you have a budget?

I think you will find it difficult to find a new computer that doesn't use EFI/UEFI/Secure boot. You will have to check out what it takes to get around it for each model.

I have had succes with DELL laptops over the years; however, I did order laptops with compnent I knew would be compatible with Ubuntu/Linux. However, I don't use DELL for desktops or servers.
Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

No support requests by PM please.

Need to take Lenovo off the list. Tried to buy a nice Ubuntu computer, and they said they did not have any.
