Hello everyone,
I've finally moved to linux, first puppy, then linux lite, and now lubuntu.
The latter one is the one I'm most satisfied (I use loads of old pcs). The number of apps installed also please me because it's less I have to uninstall.
Now, lubuntu LTS will be coming out in April, and though it will take me about 1 hour to install all the apps I use and uninstall all the one's I don't need, I was wondering if It's possible to install all the apps I use (blender, gimp, chromium, libreoffice, php5 and apache2 for example) in my local user so I can simply backup my home folder and copy it into the new lubuntu install... I would also like to keep all my config (visual and menu wise) in my user folder.
I've searched on how to do this, but I can't seem to find a way using synaptic to ALSO keep them updated.
Any tips?
Thanks in advance.
