    LTSP DHCP very slow!?

    Hey Guys,

i have running a LTSP server with ubuntu 12.04, providing thin and fat-clients.

If the client is booting it takes a lot of time (2-3 min) until the client receives the IP address and starts booting.

First i tried it dedicated on a dell Server (24Cores, 64 GB RAM), 10GBIT networkcard and switch.
Now i virtualized the same project on a xenserver and same hardware.

Both configurations are working pretty well, except one issue:

THEY NEED A (in my opinion) LOT OF TIME FOR BOOTING AND RECEIVING IP!

I hope you can help me!

PS: Is it possible that the switch (Cisco Catalyst 2960-S series 10G) is the problem, keyword: "store and foward switching" or something like that?
