    Question Tronsmart EZcast streaming support?

Has anyone had success in setting up the Tronsmart wifi screen broadcast?

I got as far as getting the Tronsmart to recognize Ubuntu, by writing a Python script to send the packets the Windows EZshare program was sending.

From there, I suppose I need to find some DLNA/UPNP media streaming library/program, but all DLNA apps seem to be filesharing to other computers/smart devices?

Apparently there are some articles (linked to on this page) that say it should be possible, but it doesn't seem to work in Ubuntu.

Any ideas? What about a Roku or similar, what is recommended for Ubuntu?

Is there really not yet any general uPnP protocol compatible with Ezcast and similar devices?? I tried this article:

    http://jensge.org/2013/04/dlna-client-side/

which was linked in the answer here but it doesn't seem to work, even when the dleyna packages are installed in 14.04
