How to merge folders in different case (lower case/upper case)

I have two folders with many subdirectories. The folders' names are the same, as well as some of the directories included in both of them.

The problem is that I cannot merge them. When I try to copy all from one folder to the other, I select "Merge" but it creates two different folders for each folder that has the same name. And it does have the same name, but one is lower case and the other is upper case. So one could be "graphics" and the other "Graphics" and it creates both. What I want is for Ubuntu to understand those two folders as the same one so that all their files can be included in only one "graphics" (or "Graphics") folder.

Is there a way to tell Ubuntu to start ignoring letter case in folders?

    Thanks in advance.

    No.
You must merge and deconflict the folders manually,
or write a script with the logic you want the system to use.

homogenize your writings and it will roll.

transform your names in capital or lower

It is going to take awhile.

    Thanks for your replies though.
