saving with live-usb but there aint no disc found

hello there folks!

my stupid big brother droped his netbook by saying `it does not work` and it says no operation system found when you open it. so i thought easy peasy with live usb.

But the problem is when i get in everything works even i am writing from that netbook now, but i cant find the harddisk. its not in my computer nor when i click disks only things there are are:

4gb usb where i have the lubuntu live
658mb loop device under the title `other devices`

Any idea what is going on?

Dropping the netbook may have loosened a cable, or it may have damaged the disk. Try cycling power and going into the BIOS settings; see if the hard disk shows up there. If not, the netbook probably needs to be opened and examined by someone qualified to do that.
