Recovering File Lost from Guest Account

Hello. I saved a file in a Guest Account, and I later restarted the computer after performing some updates (including, I believe, a kernel update). The file was stored in the Guest Account's Documents folder, and it is now nowhere to be found. I suspect it may have been permanently deleted. The file has been saved there (using 'Save as...') before, and the account has been logged out of, into, and the file reopened. Is there anyway I can recover the file? (btw, I had saved the file (a libreOffice document) using CTRL+S just before) I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
