    Outside of the LAN. Users can still access the site and view web pages but whenever it is pinged/data is posted to the request just times out.

    Well, the issue is NOT with the server networking.
    I would draw a picture including all the points that matter, then trouble shoot each, in turn.

    100% packet loss when pinging the server doesn't actually tell us much. Be exact, please. Explain how you use:
    * name resolution method?
    * IP method?
    * any router ports involved?
    * which service ports are being used?
    * which daemon?
    * is the public IP static or dynamic?
    * Did this ever work previously?

    I set up a DHCP reserveration on my router. I think it is a dynamic IP address but it hasn't changed for months (even after restarting router). I did say I'm a nooblet and some of the terminology you're using I don't recognize so I can't answer them. How do you know the issue is not with the server networking for sure?
