    failing to rename a file

    Hello.
    I right click a file I have downloaded from the internet but I cannot rename it. the option is inactive. why is it so?

    In which directory is the file located?
    There is an option to check properties/permissions.

    when located in 'Downloads' folder, I couldn't rename some files. Now I renamed one.
