Yea, thanks BB, I also thought of that page, but it is more a collection of packages related to some Biology fields rather than a structured group, which is what the OP was asking. There are several (older) ubuntu-based distro around too, as well as in the medical field.

I'm studying biology and working on my BS in it.
I know about the science (biology mainly) packages of Ubuntu. I used a few of the packages myself. But I'm really looking for a stuctured group and I think I really should be asking if there is a Ubuntu Scientist team for all of the sciences that we have. I believe a group would be useful because it could help scienists in FOSS to support each other. It's almost like the team, Ubuntu Women.
