    Persistence on USB stick

I have tried to make a persistent version of 14.04 on my USB key and while it boots to the OS and works for one session, it does not remain persistent. I have tried both USB/CD Creator and Unetbootin to make the key. I am trying to test LogitechMediaServer to see if it works with 14.04.

In my experience I have found that usually this early in testing there are always difficulties in maintaning persistent live USBs unless you actually install the system onto a USB drive. I always use 'discard on shutdown' option unless closer to release.

I have heard this complaint about every per-release version of Ubuntu since 8.04.
By the time it reaches beta persistence should be ok.

I haven't tried persistent USBs much although I tried it with 13.10 and had difficulries with it too (post release version)
