As the title suggests, there,s no sound in ubuntu. I've posted about this before and had found a workaround of uninstalling the audio drivers under windows, but that makes the audio really tinny. For any relevant info, here's that post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2179973
I've since found a post on the linux mint forums on this issue and the guy there seems to have gotten it fixed simply by updating. The output from his commands is no different from mine. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=109178
I'm wondering now if anyone can help me figure out what actually happened when he updated his system. What driver was installed/updated etc. Any help is much appreciated.
