    What is BTNX, btw?

    @Dety

BTNX is an app for controls on your mouse, did not work well for me and the developer rarely posts and the GUI is not user friendly.

I used the first few steps on this page and at least got my forward and back buttons to work.

I have Beryl which has an app switcher but it is keyboard related, I just wish my application switcher on my Logitech cordless click mouse worked.

    Sorted now. Much appreciated

Strangely. Scroll left, scrolls right...and visa-versa. Even switching the button numbers in the text files doesn't seem to change this...it always scrolls in the opposite direction.

if you change the text-file, be sure you restarted xbindkeys..
by killing it and starting it again

no, that needs to be changed in Xmodmap, not xbindkeys. Are you using Xmodmap tomkear, btw?

For the application switcher, you need a program that the mouse button will run. I don't know of any really, except the one built in to Xfce: xfdesktop --windowlist

xbindkeys makes the back and forward work in all applications. Xmodmap is seperate, and remaps your mouse buttons if they are not in the correct order. Xmodmap and xbindkeys can work together without any problems, they do different things.

Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

I've been trying to get the tilt wheel to work on my LX3 mouse. This is a simple mouse. It doesn't have buttons for all ten fingers, just three buttons plus the wheel. But I have not found anything that will awaken the tilt wheel.

I have tried the setup suggested on this site

    Code:
    Section "InputDevice"
            Identifier "Configured Mouse"
            Driver "evdev"
Option "Name" "ImExPS/2 Logitech Explorer Mouse"
            #Option "Buttons" "12"
    EndSection
At some point the mouse changed its name to
    "Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse"

But changing the name section didn't make any difference. The mouse works and the scrolling function of the wheel works, just not the tilt function. In xev I see buttons 1-3 for the buttons and 4-5 for the scrolling of the wheel and nothing all all for tilt.

    Any ideas?
