    does xubuntu send user information to canonical server?

    I am using xubuntu for almost 2 years,when I read this article,

    No, xubuntu does not send any information to Canonical like Unity does. Also,even in Ubuntu this can be turned off.

    Edit: That article is pure FUD.

    Yes, Xubuntu does send personal information to Canonical, as well as other services. I'd suggest you follow psychocat's howto here and creater a purer version of Xubuntu.
