    Unetbootin does not launch..

I am trying to make a bootable windows USB with Unetbootin but for some strange reason it has decided not to launch.

I have changed the file to executable but still no luck. I am using Kubuntu 13.10 but have also tried it in Ubuntu 13.10.. Any Ideas? Kind regards

did you install unetbootin from your distro? It is still available in xubuntu 13.10. Although it is outdated now because who using mandriva anymore?

    Re: Unetbootin does not launch..

I need to use the 494 version of Unetbootin as this is the only one with the option to "show all drives". The version available in the repos installs perfectly but for some strange reason I can only extract iso's to fat32 formatted usb's. This is no good if you require a ntfs formatted usb to install a windows iso. I have no idea why it wont launch..

Install GDebi Package Installer (from ubuntu repo) and use that to install your downloaded deb file.

You will see any installation errors such as dependencies.

The file is an executable linux file not a .deb file. It must be a fatal bug in Unetbootin and 13.10 ubuntu
