problem with software update

Running software update on a 12.04 system I get failed to download

It says to check my internet connection, but I would not be here if it did not work, is this just a temporary glitch or is there some other fix

Open your software sources and change the update server to main server or best server from location. then try again.

Thanks for that info, however while we were waiting it seems to have fixed itself, downloaded everything else again, plus all this lot it previously could not find.
