converting vb excel macros into OpenOffice Calc

I have found website which translates between Excel VBA and OO SB, but my macros still don't work. It complains of a syntax error, but it probably is something else because it still complains when I comment out or delete the section it points to. The arrow it gives me in the code seems to be dependent on line number only, not on the content at that line. Can someone help? I could send you the code. I am not really a computer hacker, and the code is mostly right out of Numerical Recipes. Used to work in Excel, but not in Calc.

    The error dialogue is:
    label $(ARG1) already defined.

It depends on the complexity of your code. You can try to post your code in the AOO forum: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/foru...forum.php?f=20 there are some gurus who could help.
But basically, you've to rewrite your macro.

The good part is that you can choose javascript, python, or java instead for your new macros. So if you already know one of those you won't need to learn another.
