    did some multiverse PPA for adobe reader, now settings wont open

    if i open the HUD and search for settings, it finds "power" (which I'm trying to get to), keyboard, and other options, but none of them will work if i click them. did update, no change.

    Can you open the system settings, from the cog(the icon at the far right on the top panel where you log out)?

    As far as the ppa and whatever you installed. You can purge the packages and disable the ppa, then run an update which would reset the settings back to what they were before adding the ppa.

    But really though, I don't know what the ppa would have to do with the control center.
    Unless, the ppa also installed other things, beside the reader.
