    Angry File Transfer stall/freeze/hang

    Hello guys.
I'm trying to transfer a few music files from my Ubuntu PC to my Android Galaxy S3. The phone is modded with CM 10.2.
When trying to transfer the files it will transfer maybe 15% or so, sometimes goes to 20 or 30%, then it stops and will not continue. Right now its been stuck at 52.4MB of 153MB for the last 20 mins.
Browsing files located on the sdcard as well as internal storage works just fine.
Picture thumbnails load properly. Deleting, moving, etc seems to work fine also. The phone is detected as soon as USB is plugged in.

Any advice on this? I really dont want to have to boot into winblows just to transfer some music.

Ubuntu 12.04 64bit. Phone is at Android 4.3.1, Cyanogenmod 10.2.

Quick addition; I installed SGS3 Easy UMS. The app changes the ext SD card to UMS support, and the data transfer works fine although slow. It's a work around, but I'd prefer MTP to work of course.. its a lot faster.

Try bluetooth if you can it will be a lot better for you.
